IndiGo Cancels Hundreds of Flights Amid Crew Shortage

IndiGo cancelled hundreds of flights across India due to crew shortages and roster disruptions following the implementation of stricter pilot fatigue and duty-time norms. The sudden cancellations caused widespread inconvenience to passengers during the peak year-end travel season. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) intervened, seeking detailed explanations from the airline and directing IndiGo to ensure better crew planning, passenger communication, and timely refunds. IndiGo stated that it was working to stabilise operations and minimise further disruptions.
